Managing Urban Consumption From The Perspective Of The Circular Economy: Contributions From A Meta-Synthesis XX1 Curitiba Enanpur Conference, Brazil
Main Article Content
Abstract
The alarming consequences of industrial globalization for the well-being of people in urban centers are becoming more widely recognized. This article aims to present a meta-synthesis of qualitative case studies in urban consumption management considering the circular economy concept. The methodology emphasized the development of a metasynthesis protocol for six case studies. From the qualitative interpretation of the research findings, this article presents a framework oriented towards the mechanism of urban consumption management from a circular economy perspective. To this end, its applicability in urban sustainability management was discussed. At the same time, the possible challenges and prospects of this research project were discussed. Finally, the study corroborated that the meta-synthesis proved to be methodologically effective in understanding the management of urban consumption given the precepts of the circular economy.
